Yahoo! News (and The Associated Press) try to ignore Gravel: Contact them!

Just wanted to let all Mike Gravel supporters know that there is virtually no coverage of Mike on Yahoo! News. Case in point: a May 1st article entitled "Democratic candidates' plans for Iraq" written by The Associated Press and carried by Yahoo! News (the article is located here and is linked to from the Yahoo! News: Politics page. Mike's position (which begins with his statement during the debate: "We should just plain get out") is conspicuously absent from their article, while others are included. This is a huge oversight and the public deserves to hear his position along with the others.

I think the most important thing here is that the Associated Press is trying to ignore him. Many news sites, not only Yahoo!, take most of their articles directly from the Associated Press. This is probably the news organization with the biggest reach of all since their articles are so widely used. We need to contact them and pressure them to cover Mike Gravel's campaign and viewpoints, not try and hide them from the public! Here is their contact information:

My letter to Yahoo!

Daniel Lupinski

I sent this to Yahoo News! (to those who don't like to write feel free to use any part of this and send your complaint!)

Senator Gravel is amazing and the first candidate with substance. I am appalled that you have not listed him on you Presidental Full Coverage site.  The rest(of which I include most all democratic and republican candidates) with their rhetoric and shallow charisma are all voting to continue keeping our troops in harms way. A gradual pullout means more soldiers dead not to mention more debt from this credit card war. If our country is to be saved from the downward spiral this man can do it!  Of course, only if all Americans (including the so called unbiased media) can let go of their judgmental/religious "good and bad" ideological ways that are being driven and steered by this fear monger president now in office. There are no bad guys as he said we are all human beings and we must learn to live and help each other. Gravel is way ahead spiritually of all these other candidates. I don't mean religious. I mean a man of spirit who does not believe in war or having a nuclear arsenal for any country. How arrogant are we that we can have nuclear bombs along with those in our nuclear club. These so called terrorist are only revolting against the arrogance we have displayed as invaders and occupiers! We abhor what was done to the American Indians here in this country yet we are continuing on the same arrogant path. Gravel can lead this world into peace and get elected "only" if we as Americans (including you the media) change our ways and don't continue to compromise the truth. The oil will eventually run out and the whole country will turn into another New Orleans. Technically, there is no replacement for oil!! We need someone who is mature and clear with no compromises on truth. I was frustrated with this country's leadership until I heard Senator Gravel speak! Perhaps my words will be labeled insane to some but one thing I know if this country continues on this "Stay The Course" thinking I will be searching for another country or as Steven Hawkings said (before his zero gravity flight) another planet as he doesn't see much hope for this one. There is no compromises when it comes to the death and destructive path we are all allowing. Shame on you for not including this incredibly truthful man on your website who is now being supported by a real grass roots movement (American people who are fed up with these power monger who have taken our precious country down the tubes)!  Yet you include half truth candidates including those top tier ones such as Senator Obama who when put on the spot states, "I'm not planning on nuking anybody right now"! Come on now is this the land of the free and brave or the censored and cowards?  Your omission of Senator Gravel leads me to believe it has already become the second!

Unbiased?

uhhhh

Check out this BS . A small extract is below:

For more than a century and a half, men and women of The Associated Press have had the privilege of bringing truth to the world. They have gone to great lengths, overcome great obstacles – and, too often, made great and horrific sacrifices – to ensure that the news was reported quickly, accurately and honestly. Our efforts have been rewarded with trust: More people in more places get their news from the AP than from any other source.

Preparing to fire off another email...

called them..

I called them and asked why there was no coverage of Mike Gravel in the presidential candidacy. They said to call the DC burrow 2027769400

Here's the note I sent.
It is a disgrace that The Associated Press is failing to give Mike Gravel attention.

Gravel's growing support is so strong that, on the Alex charts, his web site is currently the highest in traffic over all other candidates*. That should give your organization a major dose of reality. Every moment that the AP silences Gravel is a moment of which more and more people are becoming aware. The AP will be seen as biased and certainly not representative of the people if this continues.

We're all watching and waiting for the AP to have fair coverage of Mike Gravel for President 2008, and his burgeoning campaign. Don't be afraid of Gravel. He's not afraid of you.

Thank you for your consideration and have a great day.

That's a good letter.

I kept my e-mail short and

I kept my e-mail short and sweet...I'm not sure exactly what to say just that I am disheartened at not seeing more of him in their coverage.
