US Government should be Non-Profit

There was recently a fella on C-Span TV by the name of Kenneth Gross talking about lobbies for profit, I went to see Ross Perot in 1992 when he came to my hometown, Ross said he planned to outlaw lobbies if he was elected in 1992, sad to say the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Lobbies for Tax Revenue Profit are legal. A retired Sen.Frizt Hollings said in an CBS Interview before he retired that Congress had changed since when he first came to Washington D.C., Frizt said the lobbies run government policy today and even write government bills for congress, these lobbies are not elected officials but many congress members count on these lobbies for job security. This is the State of our Failed Democracy. When these lobbies profit they take money from Social Government Programs of Medicaid, Medicare and Chip (childrens healthcare) and Medicaid nursing homes for the elderly and medical special care needs. These Tax Revenues Profiteers are also take money from Military Quality of life including Military housing, Veterans Hospitals and Military Pay.A National Citizen Referendum would vote on these Budgets for these Social Medical Programs and also Vote on Military Yearly Pay raises and Combat Pay. Our Soldiers today are earning (.31 cents an hour) for Combat pay based on 24 hours per 30 days. Our U.S. Military Pay has always been lousy as Mr. Gravel knows in the 1950's and I know as a G.I. in the 1970's. The Mass Citizens will decide Military pay and the Mass Citizens will make sure every American has fair Equal Timely Medical Service in America even if we have to hire more Doctors and Medical Staff and build Medicaid and Medicare Hospitals.

Agreed

Maybe the solution to the PAC problem lies with the people. If the people refused to vote for candidates who take PAC money, then less 'politicians' would accept it. Also, if Americans had the opportunity to vote for the things that effect our lives every day (taxes, health care, war) then maybe we the people would outlaw political action committees. Senator Gravel takes no PAC money, no special interest money. The people need to lead the way away from the lobbyists.

Blackwater soldiers of fortune cost taxpayers $900 per day

Eric Prince charged $900 per day per man and paid his soldiers of fortune $300. Which is how he is expanding.} Bob Dole is suppossed to have referred to lobby and PAC money as "sewer money" and poiinted out the obvious, that the money is not given because it buys good government but because it buys results for special interests.
