BLACKWATER THREAT!

...... I want to ask Senator Gravel and all the other candidates to comment publically on the mushrooming of Eric Prince's private army called BLACKWATER. I would have have thought such a thing would be illegal, though legality hardly a consideration with this adminstration. Apparently these hired killers are better equipped and better paid than our soldiers and even so they are given only a fraction of what Prince charges our government. Theyseem to not be responsible to any oversight or law and are in Iraq but are not included in the published statistics. They are infesting other parts of the world especially the United States. Democracy now has had reports on them and there is info. on www.blackwaterbook.com 1...This is scary stuff.

I saw Jeremy Scahill speaking about his book Blackwater on C-Span Book TV this weekend, and he stated that 40 cents out of every dollar we spend in Iraq goes to private contractors, and yet they still have no real Congressional oversight and are still subject to no laws, foreign or domestic, regarding their actions.

I don't know about anyone else, but when ultra right-wing fundamentalist evangelicals who believe solely in the imminent end of the world are doing everything they can to bring about said ending by creating stormtrooper style death squads in black masks and sending them off to biblical type places to create mayhem and agony and suffering for the glory of Jesus the Avenger, Jesus the Destructor, Jesus the Terminator Megabot from Alpha Centauri sent to kill Sara Connor (I don't know about that last one), and we have a President who lives in the same fantasy world, well then I get very very worried.

Now it should not be hard to put yourself in Bush's mind.

If Congress ever comes up with the bill to fund the troups

in Iraq , then Bush will sign it, and use the money to place

equipment and funds in Iraq for the use of private armies

who will take over Iraq after the US troups leave.

Wouldn't that be legal  ?
