Senator Gravel was on the C-SPAN program Washington Journal this morning 26 Feb 07. Unfortunately I only caught the last 5 minutes, because I wasn't aware he would be on. I thought he looked much more relaxed than the Nevada forum, where his allotted time was so limited.

Senator Gravel on Washington Journal

Senator Gravel appeared on Washington Journal with Rob Harleston this morning from 7:30 to 8:00 est. He answered questions from Rob as well as from guest callers. A few of the questions concerned the Iraq War and the senator reiterated his plan to withdraw troops and proceed diplomatically as it is in the best interest of both US troops and Iraqi civilians.

Other questions from callers concerned same sex marriage (full marriage rights for all Americans), marijuana legalization (decriminalize marijuana and fund rehabilitation), illegal immigration (protect our borders, stem the flow of undocumented immigrants, fix NAFTA), government secrecy (open up the files) and Native American rights.

Senator Gravel spoke extensively on the National Initiative and of the record of fellow democrats in the race, particularly Hillary Clinton. He also mentioned Gov. Vilsack dropping out and the influence of money and media on the race. The interview will be available on this site soon.
