Word of mouth on the internet is getting around that Fox is going to host a democratic primary debate. Personally I have no idea why they're for this idea since everyone knows Fox is the democratic enemy and their people probably wouldn't even watch to begin with. I have however heard a good number of republicans and republican stories that they would vote for Obama. Talking with people my age about politics he's the only person that nobody bashed and said they didn't like etc. which I found interesting. I guess my point of this post is wondering what Gravel thinks about Fox if anybody knows. Obama's camp totally blocked out Fox from his campaign (which I think is wise) but he is the type of politician who already has the media at his finger tips and Mr. Gravel isn't so lucky. What do you guys think about Fox hosting the debate and will Mr. Gravel go? Does he believe in blocking out media even if they don't like you and vice versa? While I personally think Obama blocking out Fox is a good idea some part of me also doesn't agree with the idea because they can say whatever they want about him and he wouldn't reply to their speaking and you never know there might be that one person watching that could change the outcome of an election for a candidate. Sorry this post is so long.

Submitted on March 13th, 2007 by alexThe senator was disappointed to hear that the FOX news debate was cancelled, as he is more than willing to debate the issues anywhere at any time. While he recognizes the position of those opposed to having a democratic debate on FOX, the senator feels it would have been an opportunity to showcase the democratic field to millions of red state voters who otherwise know very little of the candidates.

Submitted on March 12th, 2007 by jeffhaleyMarch 6 2007: John Edwards announced that he would not attend the Nevada debate in August because they would be hosted by Fox, after MoveOn.org collected ~250,000 signatures protesting Fox's involvement.

March 9 2007: Nevada Democratic Party officials, after Fox News chair Roger Ailes made a joke comparing Barack Obama to Osama Bin Ladin on March 8 during a speech to the Radio and Television News Directors Foundation First Amendment Dinner, announced that they were cancelling the August debate. Ailes was also critical of MoveOn.org and Edwards during his remarks.

Personally, even though I think Ailes and the entire channel are incredibly biased, I think the more debates the better and this would have been an opportunity to reach some people who swear by Faux News. Heck, I would have temporarily unblocked FoxNews from my TV and watched the debate myself.
What's up with the FOX debate?

Submitted on February 26th, 2007 by Donald GrbacMoveOn.org is objecting to the Democratic Party about the use of FOX News. I personally hope they succeed and the Democratic Party uses some other network instead. The Democrats should not let FOX think they don't care about the way FOX News shows have been degrading Democrats.

I don't see the demographic being worth the effort, looks like a hit piece in the works. Republicans will tell gullible Democrats anything they think they can get away with. Kown your enemy !

ADVICE: DON'T ATTEND UNLESS THE DEBATE IS SHOWN LIVE
Submitted on March 2nd, 2007 by pacomLITTLE EDITING HERE, LITTLE ADDITION THERE , and our candidate's
image might look like anything FOX wants it to look like.
Of course, even with the live event, there will be many MORE hours
of spin.
You should be sure to secure the rights to fully record the event yourself,
and make any use of the content which our campaign wishes. And then
DO fully record it ourself. Don't depend on any offer of FOX to provide
us with a copy. You might not want to turn that down ( that might
be considered to be ill-mannered ) but independently have the contract read
that we have the right to to fully record the debate, and make whatever use of our
recording which we wish to make.
On the other hand , there goes your $ 10, 000 budget !
