A Childish Foreign Policy

I think it's a political plum for the rightwing Cubans in Florida, to get Florida back in the Democrat column on election day.

"Americans can make gifts to Cubans only if they are not communists."

Does that mean that only Batististas can MAKE gifts or that only Batististas can RECEIVE gifts? Either way it's a plum for the Batististas.

"During your “visit” you can lay fiber-optic cable and engage in most kinds of telecommunications work but all other forms of business contacts remain off-limits."

So this is a "gift" of the Cuban-US telecom business to the Batististas? Who wrote this piece of legislation? This is like the legislation that the Israel Lobby writes for the AIPAC and the Israelis... maybe is was Ileana Ros Lehtinen ?

Obama is the master of pay-to-play politics, he took over eight hundred million, nearly a billion dollars, during the course of his campaign. He's running a never-ending campaign and this move is made to lock up as "campaign contributions" a percentage of the envisioned business steered to his cronies by his executive policies. Talk about 'earmarked" legislation, this is an earmarled executive policy. And so transparently so.

I'm sure there's a wave of buyers' remorse sweeping through those who voted for Obama.
