A few of us from the Ni4D Google group ( http://groups.google.com/group/ni4dus ) have started a small effort to collect the contact information for as many grassroots organizations as possible. Once we've done that, we'll start on some kind of effort to get them to endorse the Ni4D, but that has yet to be decided. If you're interested, email me at RossMLevin@gmail.com and I'll send you some instructions and a further explanation.

Just read your article here: http://www.opednews.com/articles/Gay-Congressman-elect-call-by-Ross-Levi...
Glad to here there's someone in congress who will support the NI4D!
Is there a main forum for the ni4d now? I'd like to see what people are talking about, though I'm not sure where the main gather place seems to be.
Also, who runs vote.org? It is separate from the ni4d site? I ask because down at the bottom of the page, it says "More info is at Senator Gravel's web site." with the alt text of 'It's not as good as this site!'

Evan Ravitz runs vote.org, and he helped me write the article. He lives in Colorado, he's friends with Jared Polis, and he's done some work (and currently still is) with ballot initiatives in Boulder and the whole state. Apparently, he's had a bit of a falling out with Senator Gravel - as has Jared Polis - even though they both support the idea of national ballot initiatives and helped work on the Ni4D. It's just a clashing of their personalities, I suppose.
Evan has had the vote.org domain name for a while and I think he bought it because he realized how important it could one day be (given that it's a such a simple, easy website address). Now he uses it to support the Ni4D, because he thinks it's a great idea.
You can email him at evan@vote.org if you'd like.
There are 2 forums for the Ni4D. One is the Google group - http://groups.google.com/group/ni4dus
The other is the forum at ni4d.us, which really isn't used that much because it's very new. However, it's worth registering and checking in on and posting every once in a while, just to liven it up a bit - http://forum.ni4d.us/
