This is great news, eternaverse. The more supporters we have from any party, the sooner the ni4d will be enacted.
I think virtuous leadership will finally come about and the ni4d will help modernize human governance.
I'm currently telling my friends about the ni4d (sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't). I'll try telling environmental groups and other issue-oriented organizations about the ni4d whenever I can this fall.
Wouldn't Mike Jingozian be sponsoring it or endorsing it?
He did do the nomination speech for Gravel and was a big supporter of Mike Gravel during the LP Convention.
On a side note, I see Jingozian becoming their presidential nominee in '12 especially after Barr drops tremendously in the polls and a strong reason will be because of Root.
Words fail me when someone as 'uncaring' as Wayne Root can find a place to run as Vice President - and someone as caring as Mike Gravel is ignored.
I e-mailed the LP as eternauniverse suggested regards the NI4D, - some of its members may see the light - but the LP lacks substantial credibility on the whole.
I believe in freedom of choice, but I don't believe in choices 'freely' made by others being shoved down my throat. Legalized gambling is a great litmus test for integrity in politics. Gambling is no more than a stupidity tax on the mathematically challenged. Those who accept it as a source of revenue might as well say - " what we have created here is a set of obstacles as determined by the fundamentals of free enterprise, designed to 'weed out' the mentally handicapped (such as Wayne Root).
Just like they could 'freely' say in regards to health care: - 'what we have here is a is a set of obstacles designed to weed out the sick and those needing care'. They could say that about the job market and many other things - and they do!
Somewhere along the line government went from protecting and bettering the people, to abusing and misrepresenting the people. They would have us believe that this is a great gift. If it's such a great gift why does it have to be presented at 'gunpoint' so often?
