Some of here us can remember Woodstock, - 'free' love - protests and marches, and many of the things associated with the 60's and 70's peace movements. The residues from that era boggle the mind. The 60's generated a grassroots mainstream movement that didn't vanish, it just didn't know where to go. When we all found out there could be no 'free love' we decided to get the next best thing. All the love money could buy. The easiest way to get money (legally) was to get a college degree and go to work for none other than the MIC. Failing that, get a government job.
What was residually produced - first and foremost, was a break from 'ball and chain' tradition, open welcome to new ideas regardless of source, and a whole new generation of charlatans who tried to skim the cream off the top - (otherwise known as lawyers and politicians.) - the kind of people who would get high but not join the peace march - you know the type. Clinton and Obama types. Underwriting all of this was still the generation who wanted a change but couldn't get it. Or could they not? The hippie generation who grew up and took on their responsibilities are now grandparents and great grandparents. While we had to let certain ideals slide it's very obvious we did not want the 'ball and chain' back. To this day we resent servitudinal hierarchy. Big time. That attitude, given in large doses to our children (who are now grown adults) represents a desire for something better despite the fact it is manifesting itself in decidedly heinous ways. Adults today know freedom we have never known, but the combination of modern technology and freedom is a mixed blessing when dealing with overwhelming lack of social direction. It is a force to be reckoned with, one that is being dealt with on a global scale in many instances. What the small handful of old schoolers want - the moneymen - the Bilderberg 'ball and chain' boogeymen really want - new world order - one world government run by banks - will encounter more and more deep seated resistance as it tries to progress, resistance that goes back generations, and all this time, (which is the present,) the real force to be reckoned with - our young adults, will be learning direction. Sound chaotic? Au contraire. They hunger for justice, as we did, they hunger for peace, as we did. Us 'truthers', we, the elect (thanks JFL) feed them. What we do today matters tomorrow.
