Who would claim to be a WASP today ? - Think of it - times are changing.
I have mentioned I was blacklisted - banned from major newspapers for my concepts of the NI4D 25 years ago. it's nothing new - others call it communism and get rid of it for the same reason - it was neither, nor is the NI4D.
What was behind and what is behind the need for national initiative isn't going away - but it needs more definition. Somebody has to start naming numbers - somebody has got to set limits - on population control, on standards of living, on what people NEED to be expected to live reasonably well. This must be done realistically.
The only thing that promotes expansion in all fields at all costs is Capitalism, Free Enterprise - call it what you will - the indiscriminating hunger for money. And that desire is what's calling the shots in all areas of importance. Is it worth it? Is money worth it?
Who can set the realistic limits we need. Look what Mike tried to do. I am going to try to parallel his efforts here. I will start with birth control as a national issue. An Ni4D issue. My argument is as follows ...
A human being can be expected to live about 80 years. They can reproduce at about 20 years, and every year after if they so desire. Earlier than 20, if they so desire, but for the sake of argument i will use the 20 year mark as somewhat acceptable. If these reproducers want to be responsible they think - we'll have 2 children and that's it - replacement value. Period. Population control under control. Next!
But wait - humans live for 80 years , so reproduction at the age of 20 means 4 (FOUR) generations will come into being within the course of the original propagators' lives . So 4 generations will be born as a result of the original issue, and of those four 3 more will occur, and of those 3 2 more could occur, and likely will, etc, for a grand total of 6 complete sets of humans being brought into this world to 'replace' the presence of the original set of parents .
So now, are you ready to vote on population numbers?
Because if humans could live to be a thousand it would mean fifty generations and their exponents that would have to find room in a so-called replacement value propagation scheme. It's bad enough with 6.
Too many people equate too many of their values to this kind of logic.
That's why the NI4D isn't working.
Too many people equate too many of their values to this kind of logic.
How much room should each person have - for the Next! NI4D issue?
Should everyone have a lake, access to a river, well, let's take a look at the Red River Uprising (Louis Riel) in Winnipeg, Manitoba to see how that was settled. For example. The original French settlers found it reasonable that all people should have access to water. Sound reasonable? The British took over Upper Canada and surveyed the land with mathematical precision, the result being settlers pushed out into the desert and the Upsrising which led to Riel being hanged.
Some things have changed. Others haven't. When we ask for change do we know what we ask for - because by God - we need it.
We CAN have two kids - but we need them at the ages of 25 and 50, and we need to change partners in the process, we need to set an example for the younger spouse when we are older, as much as we need an example set for us when we are younger.
What about other Initiatve issues like who goes to what war ... who do we do business with and at what cost? And the Federal Reserve and the IRS?
What about a fair minimum wage?
Unless basics can be decided upon nothing will get resolved. And the main common factor is money. That is something conventional financing can't deal with on a basic level. But it IS key. To attain that 'key' one must start to apply 'basics' big time, and keep applying them. Remember
Life is the soul of God
man the soul of life
a womans soul her children
and man's of course
his wives!
The basics have got to be fundamental and continual. Every time we lose an interested party it is because of complexity, maybe a sense of hopelessness - something along those lines ... the same is true for resolve at more public venues ...even more so - basics must be foremost. Capitalism has ripped us so far from basic appreciation it has literally blinded us to truth. If we can't put our purpose in life in general as first importance we will NEVER be able to take the next step - to see truth we need to see in unadultered form, the truth we need to make responsible decisions, the truth we need to make progress.
Our purpose in this world is more than to get out of one predicament just to get into another, and that's all we've been doing. We need a common purpose and it is more than minimum wage, a cottage by a lake or 'x' number of kids. We need this common purpose to be able to act truthfully. Only a redneck wouldn't understand that.
