Got Mike Gravel's book today!

I preordered it from Amazon a month or two ago, and I got it today!  And I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to come out until June 17...

It's pretty good so far.  Some of it takes a bit of a leap of faith and you must take a lot of it with a grain of salt, but it brings up a lot of good points and provides a lot of very good examples.  I imagine that outside of the Gravel crowd, it might not be terribly well-received, if only because most people aren't openminded enough to accept some of the things it says (it makes some Wright-like statements about 9/11, among other things).

There are some typos, and this might turn some people off, simply because it makes the book seem of lower qulaity.  But I guess I got a first edition?

It's called "The Kingmakers" if you want to order it at www.amazon.com

It made me realize that Gravel stands for more than just participatory democracy, but participatory citizenship in general.

Haven't recieved it yet.

To tell the truth, I haven't had time to sit down and read Citizen Power yet, but I will get to it.

Anything to help Mike.

Not to be crude, but I believe I met Dr. Eisenbach, the co-author and campaign communications director, in the mens room of a Gravel event in Philadelphia. Nice chap.

Haha, we had seen each other in Trenton as his Amtrak train stopped there. We were standing on the platform waiting to switch from Septa to NJTransit while he was taking the Amtrak straight to NYC.
