Hydrogen can be produced domestically from numerous sources.
Technology is available today for any car, truck, suv, or bus. It only needs to be mass-produced.

The H2 ICE should be forefront in any energy/environment policy if you're serious about getting off foreign oil.

I don't mean to sound snarky, but hydrogen is no solution. It takes massive amounts of energy to produce, is usually made from natural gas, and requires an entire new infrastructure to become a reality.
Electric cars are much more practical, and the technology will be here in the next few years.
