Basically what I read at the www.lp.org site is that Gravel supporters must meet the donation requirement of $5000 to the LP party on behalf of Mike Gravel before May 23rd 2008. Which means we are $3975 short, which also means we only have 7 DAYS LEFT to make sure Mike qualifies for the Liberty Decides 08 Program!!! I've donated all I can this month, I hope you do the same so his run for the presidancy wont be in vein. DONATE TODAY!!!

$ 79.50 per state
Submitted on May 16th, 2008 by JaywinOne way to look at this is that if Senator Gravel got an average of $79.50 from supporters in each state, he'd hit the $5000 mark.
Another way to look at it is if 398 people donated $10, he'd hit the mark.

Liberty Decides Program
Submitted on May 16th, 2008 by wentrikinI read through the info on the Libertarian Party's website and I have to admit that I'm a little confused. Does a candidate have to participate in the Liberty Decides Program to be eligible for the Libertarian Party's Nomination? As of now, there are only 3 candidates that have met the $5000 requirement.

I would hate to see Mike excluded from any of these functions because we didnt meet the deadline date please donate today!

Submitted on May 16th, 2008 by sgrimesOkay, here is my understanding of what happens. Bob Barr, Wayne Root, Daniel Imperato, and Michael Jingozian all have qualified. If any of them win the nomination, ALL of the money that was donated to the other candidates goes directly to the nominee for their campaign. On the other hand, if Gravel does not qualify but wins the nomination, he will NOT get that money. I assume it will go just to the party in general.
That is correct. Whichever
Submitted on May 16th, 2008 by Brian798That is correct. Whichever candidate wins the nomination, they automatically get all of the money donated to them, and I believe, but am not sure, if Barr, Root, Imperato, or Jingozian wins, they get all money donated.
Also, in response to the person above, the program is done by the party, and you can still win the nomination.
