I finally got the video from my friend Matt. I uploaded 4 out of 6 parts of the video.

Unfortunately the video doesn't show the whole event (eg. Matt didn't have enough video space to record the time when Gravel talked about his fights with Ted Stevens, his criticism of Ron Paul, Kucinich...). But it was really awesome.
I personally thought it was his best discussion.
It also made me feel great seeing Gravel say that he and I have the same desire of trying to change the world and he lauded me for working my heart out for him (note: I was wearing my Mexican jersey that day in solidarity of the Latin American immigrants).

The end of Part 5 made me really mad!

Strangely, that was the least viewed part, by far.
Thanks for posting these. I was wishing I was there, now I feel a bit like I was. Would have loved to hear the part on Ted Stevens, though. :)

Submitted on May 20th, 2008 by rosslThat would be good, if you made something kind of like a "summary" of the videos. Because, no offense, I don't have the patience most of the time to watch a Youtube video that's more than a couple of minutes.
What I have in mind
Submitted on May 20th, 2008 by BamaGravelianHehe, the intention of the video would not be to summarize the talk...
If you look through my videos, you may notice that I don't compile that many clips, and when I do, it's usually for a very specific purpose. Probably the video closest to what I have in mind is my first video project, "Drumbeat to Iran". That video reveals one of the major reasons I began making videos on YouTube. I was very angry with Mike Gravel's exclusion from the debates and I wanted to highlight this injustice and the events surrounding it. (The fact that I also failed to get Gravel on the ballot in my state also added to my frustration.) I stopped watching television and fully transitioned this free time towards participation on YouTube. I will add that YouTube plays such an essential role in the Gravel campaign that I very likely would not have been as involved had I not done this. I will also add that I had ZERO knowledge of video editing and Photoshop before I started. With the bare essentials, anyone can become a guerrilla videomaker. :)

Submitted on May 20th, 2008 by HitsumeiThis is a great idea, BamaGravelian. It would be great to use the footage for a precise purpose. I loved your "drumbeat to Iran" video.
I personally thought it was his best discussion ever. Before the meeting, he even suggested me to read a few books (now that finals are over, I will read "Bad Money", "American Theocracy" and "House of War").
Edit: I put the links to parts 5 and 6 in the first message of this topic.
