Plan to get Gravel attention on Youtube

Recently, a few Gravel fans and I have started "filibustering" the most recent Gravel videos.  By filibustering, I mean commenting as much as possible (there is no limit on Youtube, but it does ask you to enter some text every so often to make sure you're human).  The point of this is to get the video on the top of the honors list, so that more people see it.  Ideally, if we have a few dozen or more people doing it, we would get these videos to the #1 spot on a few "most discussed" lists.

 

So far, we've done it on the Projustice video that's featured on the front page of www.gravel2008.us (last time Youtube updated honors, it was #45 most discussed for the week).  A few of us are starting to do it on rx2008's new Gravel video, "Fire it up."

 

We're trying to do this with every Gravel video from anyone with a good-sized audience on Youtube and any video from Gravel2008, and any video feautred on www.youtube.com/gravel2008.

 

Please, come help!  It's the least we can do.

Though this video is almost a year old, it might be a good video to promote since gas prices (and whether or not we should have a gas tax holiday) seems to be one of the biggest issues in the media at the moment.

Organizational meeting

I have Chapters 1-6 prepared from Citizen Power and I plan to have Chapter 7 ready later tonight.  Perhaps we could meet in the chatroom at 10 pm EST tonight to divide the chapters for the filibuster tomorrow.

 I get "We're sorry, this video is no longer available." when I try to view the video Skyler has listed below and the one on the front page. This is the standard banner put up when google blocks a video and this is from a proxy server in the USA, so it's not a Thai problem, unless they are blocking videos retrieved through a proxy server.

I changed the port the proxy is on in an attempt to see if that was the case, other services at the same ip address work just fine, and other videos, blocked by the Thais when I don't use a proxy, are available when I do, port number regardless.

Mike's videos are unavailable at other ports as well.

So I conclude that google is blocking the videos to the proxy itself?

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
