Impeachment ... is there enough time?

With Bush having only nine months remaining, is impeachment still possible?

A while back, Cindy Sheehan

A while back, Cindy Sheehan announced that she would run for Congress as an independent against Nancy Pelosi if Pelosi didn't put impeachment back on the table.  Well, Pelosi didn't, and now Sheehan is running for her district (in San Francisco).

I signed up to volunteer for the campaign, but I don't know if I can do much out here in Pennsylvania.

I think the more pressing

I think the more pressing question is "Given the current members of Congress, is impeachment possible?"  Since the majority of Congress cares nothing about the Constitution or individual liberty, probably not.

I need to hear it agan.

I need to hear it agan.  Why, Nancy Pelosi, did you take impeachment off the table?

   I think lot of people

I think lot of people suspect conspiracy when it comes to Bush, but, like every criminal, he has taken pains to cover his tracks - the result is many taking the path of least resistance.

As far as Pelosi's knowledge of Bush's involvement in so many of the questionable occurances since he took office - well - her opinions reek to high heaven of servitudinal bias. She is the classic 'yes-man' in a dress. She will defend him to the nth degree and feel she is absolutely right in doing so.

My theory is that Bush reacted to the 'priviledged' news that America was going to be cut off Muslim oil because of its' pro-Israel stance - plain and simple. It certainly was no secret Saddam was trying to create a bourse for the sole purpose of excluding America from its' supplies - Bush reacted by having Saddam eradicated.

Pelosi's taking impeachment off the table is an attempt to cover up the real reasons that led to the war - and it is not priviledged information.

She is as guilty as any of them, whether she knows it or not - and we all know - she knows it!  Her 'yes-man' act reeks more of aiding and abetting than it does of justice and freedom.

May they all rot in the hell they have created for others.

What is funny and ironic

is that Pelosi kissing the Bush administration's ass isn't helping her gain friends on either side. I just heard on NPR this morning an ad that was placed by a republican in Mississippi, I think, where they are making local races into "national" races and tying the local candidates to national political figures. They specifically cited Pelosi as being a typical liberal and said "that may be great for her constituents in San Francisco, but 'that dog doesn't hunt' here." So, the Republicans hate her and the true liberals/Democrats hate her because of her inaction. She'll be out of office on her ass soon.

It will be a hard fight for

It will be a hard fight for Sheehan.  Pelosi got over 90% of the vote last time and has raised over $1.6 million already for her reelection, while Sheehan has $49,000.  We should all try to contribute to Sheehan, too, if you have the money.

Oh...

I don't know how difficult it will be to unseat her. I would be very surprised if she has that level of backing next time around. She's been TRULY ineffective. Between impeachment off the table, rolling over for republican tactics, etc. The only one who is worse is Reid.

Even if 30% of her

Even if 30% of her constituency turned away from her, she would still have a landslide victory!

Sheehan needs all the help she can get.
