I saw a Moveon ad ("1100 entries. You pick the 15 that Matt Damon sees. Click here to vote now. Paid for by Moveon.org Political Action. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee. Obama in 30 seconds") on youtube as I was watching Gravel's "power to the people give peace a chance (yes, Obama ads do influence the youchoose section of youtube. that's how youtube is being funded right now because I also see Hillary and McCain ads on the right side of the screen as I sometimes watch videos).
A short time ago, I remember gravel suing a 527 group that clearly endorsed Hillary. So I would like to know if this is the same thing.
Is moveon.org lying when they say that they don't endorse any candidate when in point of fact they are clearly indicating support for Obama?

I've been wondering the same thing
Submitted on April 25th, 2008 by DebbieKatAfter the Hillary 527 came out there was a lot of criticism that they were backing a specific canidate. I am wondering how MoveOn.org can get away with it when they have been pushing Obama as a candidate for months.
I feel like they probably
Submitted on April 25th, 2008 by rosslI feel like they probably thought of this. I'll bet it's some kind of "unofficial" endorsement that lets them bypass the law.
It's worth pursuing if you want to, though.
