Libertarian Party of Alabama Convention 2008

Hello, I am the new state director for Alabama.  My contact information is listed on the state contacts page.  Please contact me if you are from Alabama and would like to support Mike Gravel's run for the Libertarian nomination.

Below, I am posting information about the upcoming Libertarian Party state convention in Birmingham.  This is coming up soon, so I recommend that people register with the Libertarian Party through a donation at lp.org/gravel and make reservations for the weekend.  People from other states should look into their own state conventions for participation.  Remember that the nomination is determined by the delegates at the national convention, so it's important to get involved with your state party organization if you want to participate in the nomination process.  There is a not a lot of time until the convention, so we have to act quickly.

Let me know if you are planning to attend.  Mike Gravel may be attending the convention.  I'll update you later on this if I get confirmation of his attendance.

Libertarian Party of Alabama Convention 2008

You are cordially invited to the LPA Convention 2008. Come and join us for stimulating conversation as well compelling ideas! Come and become a part of the libertarian revolution. We offer exciting speakers and wonderful opportunities for networking!

We have confirmed former Congressman Bob Barr, Stuart Carter of Free the Hops, Loretta Nall of Compassionate Care, Alabama House Rep. Cam Ward, and former Alabama Ron Paul Field Director Shana Kluck as speakers. Expect some additional surprises!

Where: Birmingham at the BJCC - East Boardroom A - across from the  Downtown Sheraton Hotel.

When: The two day convention is on the weekend of April 19th and 20th, 10- 5PM both days.  Most of the outside speakers are being scheduled for Saturday, and most party business sessions will be held Sunday.

Special Convention fee: $25 for both days!
