the story is posted all over the place. the fact that i doubt that Gravel would drop out at this point and that the picture i saw of him hugging obama looks fake probably mean its a big joke.
i agree its a good way to raise awareness about NI4D but still it seems like davis fleetwood is the source of the rumor. in his interview Gravel specifically states that he would not accept the position if obama offered it unless it involved the NI4D specifically but other stories talk about Gravel meeting directly with Obama which i dont think happened.
it got me thinking though. immagine if Obama somehow lost to Clinton because she used some kind of trickery to kill his lead. There are polls out right now saying that (something like) 26% of democrats would vote for McCain rather than hillary if obama lost to her and vice versa but if that were actually true and Gravel were to put the loser of the democratic race into HIS cabinet, then geez. if that poll is true, 1/4 of the democrat voters will end up voting libertarian to spite the other democrat. thats kind of a big deal.
I got the scoop from Skyler. It is a practical joke, but a way to get teh ni4d press (don't tell anyone...). that last part is a very good idea, though. What does anyone within the campaign think of it?
