Hi everyone,
Currently I am putting together an early April tour for Mike through the greater northeast. He'll be promoting Citizen Power, sharing the messages of his candidacy, and of course that of The National Initiative and empowering the American people. That said, I will list our general itinerary. If anyone lives in these areas and could help provide contacts, help set up an event or gathering themselves, or simply make recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated.
Currently I have college events very well locked up; it's events in the towns and communities where assistance would be most useful. The types of groups we aim to meet with are: Anti-war, Veterans against the War, Grassroots Democracy, Prison Reform, Sensible Drug Policy, 9/11 Truth, FairTax, or anyone else on Mike's wavelength that would be receptive. Read below to get a sense what we're doing. Once finalized, all public events will be posted:
March 31:
Ithaca, NY (Cornell University, Ithaca College)
April 1 - 5:
Western Massachusetts (Amherst/Northampton areas);
Vermont (Brattleboro, Burlington);
Maine (Bates/Bowdoin/Colby Colleges)
April 6:
Boston (Brandeis University)
April 7:
Providence, RI (Brown University)
April 8:
Boston and Connecticut (Wesleyan University)
April 9 - 10:
Pennsylvania (U of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore, Muhlenberg)
Later in April (and through May 6), we will be focusing ample attention on North Carolina. More on that soon.
**by the way, this is Jon Kraus. I primarily handle Mike's schedule, so please contact me if you can help out with any of the above. Many thanks**

I had to reschedule to April
Submitted on April 23rd, 2008 by HitsumeiI had to reschedule to April 30th because I need 75 people to attend the Gravel event.
I couldn't get 75 people by April 23rd, but I did manage to get 75 people for April 30th.
This time, I couldn't reserve the room on campus because some areas were completely booked while others were full of bureaucracy.
So this time, I reserved a spot at the College Perk coffee house, which is near the campus.
So the Gravel visit will be from 5 to 8 PM at the College Perk coffee house.

Submitted on April 14th, 2008 by DebbieKatis also on April 19th. Just FYI. It's in Tacoma, WA.
Another Date
Submitted on March 30th, 2008 by GravelFanNJOn April 1st Gravel will be visiting Smith College it has been posted on the home page, sounds like this will be busiest tour Gravel has had in a long time.
Murray Sabrin is running for Republican Nomation for US Senate(one they will lose most likely to Lautenberg), BUT he is a Ron Paul Republican and is doing some Freedom Rallies.
Here are the dates and places and I would love to see Gravel hook up a few dates.
4/11 Stevens Institute of Tech.
4/17 Brookdale CC
4/15 Freedom Rally in D.C. with Ron Paul and Bob Barr speaking this could be huge way for people to hear Gravel speak!
When Gravel is in
Submitted on March 29th, 2008 by rosslWhen Gravel is in Pennsylvania, at what time of day will he be speaking at those places? If I don't know, I won't be able to come OR tell people when to come, and I'll be majorly pissed.
Wed the 9th: Swarthmore
Submitted on March 30th, 2008 by Peace CzarWed the 9th:
Swarthmore College @ 4:15 PM
University of Pennsylvania @ 7:00 PM
Thurs the 10th:
Muhlenberg College @ 7:00 PM
Suggestions, comments? More specifics as time draws near. jon@gravel2008.us
Can Mike Gravel Bowl?
Submitted on March 31st, 2008 by JaywinDid any of you catch Barak Obama's bowling abilities which he demonstrated in Pennsylvania at the Pleasant Valley Recreation Center?
Or perhaps we should say, lack thereof...he scored a 37!
If Mike Gravel can bowl, maybe he should stop by that bowling alley to see if he can top 37...(shouldn't be too hard)
They've been talking about Obama's "performance" all morning on TV...maybe Senator Gravel could get a little publicity out of it!
Oh yeah...if he does go bowling, remember 2 things:
It's just good bowling ettiquette!

Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by JaywinThe Political Science Club at the University of Maine at Farmington sent me an e-mail expressing "extreme interest" in having Mike Gravel speak at UMF during your April tour through Maine.
I'd say it's about an hour drive from Colby.
Jon, if you haven't already, please contact the UMF Political Science Club.

Jason, can you please
Submitted on March 30th, 2008 by Peace CzarJason, can you please contact UMF and tell them unfortunately no event this time around. We may get back north to New England and Maine later in April, but cannot say definitively yet.
No stops in Maine b/c of the debate in Kansas City. We have an event in Burlington, VT on Wed the 3rd, then Mike leaves for DC Thursday morning. He'll return to Boston on Sunday the 6th for an event at Brandeis at 8 PM.
If anyone has recommendations or contacts in BOSTON or PROVIDENCE, RI, we don't anything booked on Monday the 7th aside from an evening event at Brown U. Radio, print media, you name it, just holler.
Then on Tuesday the 8th, Mike would be available in Boston/Providence in the morning and early afternoon before we leave for Middletown, CT for an event at Wesleyan U.
Anyone got contacts at MIT? We will be there around noontime and would love to address the student community.

Submitted on March 25th, 2008 by rosslI'm in Pennsylvannia near Philly and would be willing to help. However, I won't be around too, too often from now to when Mike is coming, so just tell me things you need done and I'll tell you what I can do.
My email is inkabinkaboo182@aol.com, if you want to contact me through that.

Submitted on March 26th, 2008 by rosslI could also potentially help book Mike at a local venue, if you just ask.
If you need anything, ask, and I'll try to do it.
If you can recommend media
Submitted on March 30th, 2008 by Peace CzarIf you can recommend media in an around Philadelphia, that would be great. Mike would have some limited time the 9th, but better the first half of the 10th for interviews. Probably have to leave Philadelphia by 2 PM or so; otherwise traffic to Allentown would be unbearable and frivolous to our time.
Radio, alternative papers, major papers, you name it. jon@gravel2008.us

Submitted on March 30th, 2008 by rosslI'll contact a couple of the local newspapers in my area (ie, my town's papers) if you tell me what I should say to them.
Here are a couple of links:
Events listings contact for Philadelphia Magazine - vfiorillo@phillymag.com
Send a breaking news alert to 6ABC - http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/feature?section=resources/inside_station/sta...
Conact us page for the local NPR station - http://www.whyy.org/about/contact.html
Hope that helps.
Also, my brother is a film major with some editing skills and a nice camera, so I emailed him and I'm trying to get him to come with me to film Gravel. Hope that's all right.
While I Can't
Submitted on March 26th, 2008 by GravelFanNJI can't be there in man power, I can help out with contacting media, venues, etc. I can also contact online outlets. If there is anychance for a stop in NJ please tell me I know venues that Gravel can speak at, I know media outlets, I can make it work basically. Please email me @ mountieman2005@aol.com for anything.
Just an idea.... a merchandise table. The HQ should bring t-shirts, hats, bumper stickers, pins, copies of Citizen Power to sell at the events. This takes away the step of having to go online cause it's right there.

Submitted on April 13th, 2008 by Brian798I do not think that Senator Gravel will be able to come to Maryland. Now he will be traveling state-to-state for Libertarian State Conventions, which are 2 or more a week at times. I could be wrong, but just my guess, and by looking at the State Convention schedule, places we have to be at if we plan to win.

Submitted on April 13th, 2008 by HitsumeiOn Thursday, Jon told me on the phone that April 23rd was possible, and on Friday, one of my friends was going to reserve the multicultural room for the event on campus and ask the Peace Forum (an anti-war student organization) to co-sponsor the event.
I hope the event is still possible because I want people on campus to actually get to see him instead of just hearing my voice.
