April 19th, 1775, was the date upon which the first shots were fired at Lexington and Concord, signaling the start of the American Revolutionary War, or the American Revolution. Would we, Gravel supporters, like to organize anything in particular for this date, such as a mass donation day or... what are some other ideas? I think that April 19th would be a very significant date, since it was the start of the American Revolution, and it is far enough away that there would be time to create some measure of organization. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Excellent Idea
Submitted on March 8th, 2008 by DebbieKatWe might want to tie it in with tax time (i.e. use that refund to elect someone that will help abolish federal income tax). Count me in!
Great Idea!
Submitted on March 7th, 2008 by uhleesuh9Well, that is a very good idea! I would definitely be willing to do something on that date. However, I am working on an idea for a fundraiser and demonstration type event (can be found here: http://www.gravel2008.us/node/3299 ). I am planning to hold it on Earth Day, which is April 22nd, and the 19th is so close to that. Regardless, I might now include something about the Revolution in my flyers and in part of the event that I am planning. I want to get people across the country to hold similar fundraisers and demonstrations to generate more attention and funds. Wherever you are, I would be delighted if you were willing to hold one in your area or help me with my idea in any way as I am willing to help with yours. Nice work and good luck!
