Mike Gravel was the only candidate who spoke, who has vision for our country. It is refreshing to see someone get up and say something that is from the heart and makes sense. I was sick and tired of watching all the other talking heads get up and say the same thing over and over again. Mike Gravel will make a great President!!
Oh my goodness yes. Let's hire a campaign consultant to have Gravel look like yet another blowdried proponent of nothingness, on the surface quite palatable but beneath completely indigestible. That's accomplished so much so far.
I was watching the second day speeches and I must say after watching Senator Gravel’s speech I was struck by two things, how much I agreed with everything he said, and how little I cared about him saying it.I think Senator Gravel has many great assets to add to the depth of this campaign season and many of his points deserve to be heard and digested by the voting public. The problem is that he is not making his commentary palatable and is therefore not making his point as effectively as he could be and could be robbing some of his more poignant insights of apparent credibility. He has a terrific background and his signage and graphic image is remarkable, but when a stump speech to influential Democrats comes off as another filibuster attempt how can we help others take his message or candidacy seriously.
Truth to Power should be the campaign slogan! In my life I have never, ever heard a politician say the things you said today. My roommate tivo'd the cspan coverage and i've watched it three times. thank you, thank you, thank you!!
