The directions are simple. Anyone can do this. I made a tutorial for first time video makers. Let me know if you have any problems and I may be able to help if you use Windows. I'll probably have to direct you elsewhere if you use a Mac.
Flag Video Tutorial

1. Enter your state in the comments.
2. Post a video response with a picture of your state flag in the thumbnail. Make sure that the name of the state is in the title. The video can just be the picture of the flag. That is all that is needed.
3. In the video corresponding to your state, enter your county and city in the comments.
Other countries are welcome to participate and post video responses.
Our aim is to shift the paradigm of human governance.
Gravelian Rebellion is Rising

I have a good idea,
Submitted on March 3rd, 2008 by rosslI have a good idea, BamaGravelian. You seem to be an enthusiastic YouTube user, so you could do this.
Do you know Davis Fleetwood? He's a YouTube political celebrity. It might be a good idea to comment and/or reply (with a video) to some of his videos (especially the newest few) asking him his opinion of Gravel, or even asking him to interview Gravel. Just something along those lines. A video made by him about Gravel would be a lot of press for Gravel.
Davis Fleetwood has already
Submitted on March 3rd, 2008 by BamaGravelianDavis Fleetwood has already done a couple of pro-Gravel videos. I remember one where he compared the presidential candidates to food and Gravel came out the best. :)
He also put up a Gravel/Nader video encouraging people to sign the petition.
GRAVEL & NADER (or) NADER & GRAVEL

In fact, Gravel responded to his video on rx2008's channel:

Do you have any specific ideas to spark interest? I have some ideas about the third party run, but I don't know what Gravel will do next.

17 state videos
Let's move it up! There are a lot of states left to cover. The state videos are a good place to start with your first video. Even through simple videos, YouTube can be used in ways that are more effective than text posts in a forum. We have a strong presence on YouTube. Let's build upon it and strengthen our organization!
Bored on the weekend?
Submitted on February 23rd, 2008 by BamaGravelianThis is a great way to pass the time and show your support for Gravel. :)
How do you save a video from
Submitted on February 21st, 2008 by rosslHow do you save a video from Youtube to your computer, or reply to a video with someone else's video? 'Cause I found one that I could use, but I just don't know how to reply with it or save it.
This can actually be quite
Submitted on February 21st, 2008 by BamaGravelianThis can actually be quite tricky. In fact, I did not find a 100% reliable method until after I had finished my first video project (Drumbeat to Iran). I ended up paying $29 for a collection of video editing and conversion tools that saved me some grief (AVS4You). Not necessarily top notch (it's $29 after all), but it helps me get by with some stuff I couldn't do with just Windows Movie Maker. Also the .flv converter seems to be much more reliable than ZillaTube, the program I first used to download videos.
For a quick fix, just search for ZillaTube. It's very straightforward and it got me through my first project with Windows Movie Maker. It's shareware and expires after 2 weeks. I decided it wasn't worth the money and found something of much better value (AVS4You).
I never found free utilities that were reliable. There was always some catch. ZillaTube is great for a quick and free short term solution, but it isn't permanent.
Thanks, but I ended up just
Submitted on February 21st, 2008 by rosslThanks, but I ended up just splicing together a few photos into a video with that Windows sample music in the background. I just posted it as a response a couple seconds ago, and I guess it takes some time to show up.
For first time video makers

Hmm, this video has been
Submitted on February 21st, 2008 by BamaGravelianHmm, this video has been dead the last 12 hours and there doesn't seem to be much of a chance for revival. I feel like I went about this the wrong way, but I am not sure how to change things. There are a few regular contributors on YouTube that I had hoped would participate, but have been completely silent on the matter which indicates to me that something is wrong here. There were many views on the first day, but then there was a sudden drop and the video responses didn't really take off. (I made a video tutorial last night to try to reenergize things and get more participation, but nothing has happened so far.) Any recommendations? Bad timing or execution? Should I take the video down and do it differently?
I think I will write a detailed explanation of my rationale behind the channel and this video. Oh well, looks like it's back to the drawing board. I would appreciate any advice.
Something popped up just
Submitted on February 21st, 2008 by BamaGravelianSomething popped up just now while writing this, so maybe I spoke too soon.
Moving up
Submitted on February 21st, 2008 by BamaGravelian#67 Most Discussed! (40 responses so far.)
It needs 2 more videos to get into Most Responsed. (8 videos posted so far.)
I'd like to see first time video makers put up a flag. If you would like to get started, message me (ChannelMikeG on YouTube) and I might be able to help. I made my first video on Windows Movie Maker which I think is on most PCs. It doesn't take very long.
Good place to start for first video
Submitted on February 20th, 2008 by BamaGravelianEveryone is welcome to post video responses. The more, the merrier. This is an especially good place to start if you have never made a video before.
Great Idea!

I dont' understand this.
Submitted on February 20th, 2008 by rosslI dont' understand this. Is it just for publicity?
I created this mainly for
Submitted on February 21st, 2008 by BamaGravelianI created this mainly for organizational purposes for Gravel supporters, but I also created it with the intention that it would reach prominence on YouTube through comments and video responses. (The success of the project goes hand in hand with the level of participation involved.) Also I thought this project would be a good way to encourage first time video makers. Often it's the first step that makes all the difference.
So get on it! :)
I posted a video response
Submitted on February 22nd, 2008 by HitsumeiI posted a video response with the Maryland flag and a few symbolic images (as well as music from the Dresden Dolls) that represent my feelings concerning this election. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wcsafw-jDoU
