TV show

I think Mike Gravel should have his own TV show called "Stop and Think!" where he talks about the politics of the week. Maybe he also has some guests go on the show too. What do you think?

What channel would Mike have

What channel would Mike have a realistic chance of getting picked up on?  Or would it be like Democracy Now, where they just operate where they do, and get any channel that's willing to pick them up?

What about HBO?  I personally think that would be the best outlet for Mike - he can say whatever he wants without risking censorship, a large audience, and a good amount of time, and On Demand access.

Hmm, it might be a good time

Hmm, it might be a good time to start something big like this soon, because as it stands, YouTube is planning to eventually take down Gravel's channel.   We have just seen the first step towards this.  We need to make some noise right now instead of sullenly looking around for the next best thing, because we are also losing our options for the "next best thing" as we speak.

"People will have to suffer a level of frustration and anger sufficient to reason their way out of this conundrum and reach for an "out of the box" solution to their own empowerment." (page 6 of Citizen Power)

I don't understand...

Why would youtube take down his channel? There are channels for everything else up there that don't have any time-sensitivity to it. Maybe we need to change it to the National Initiative Channel? And use it as a combined campaign area and NI4D area?

If nothing else, I hope he

If nothing else, I hope he continues the YouTube channel even after the election.

definitely!

that sounds like a cool idea. even if he doesn't actually have a show on TV it is still a cool idea for some more videos. He could invite people to talk about the issues with him and stuff. it would get attention from all the people who are interested in the people he chooses to be guests. I really like that idea, and what a good name!

We should start with

freespeech tv (www.freespeech.org) and link tv (linktv.org) and maybe see if we can get some time on Democracy Now.
