Mike needs to point out that the only strategy mentioned by any elected
official in the U S country is " pressure. "
However , when applying pressure, there is this equal and opposite reaction.
The U S country is now on the brink of a 'blow-up" from applying pressure
around the world.
I can't think of any country other than the U S country which can not
easily handle a doubling of the present pressure.

I think every country other than the US can easily handle a doubling of the present pressure.

and date it.
Then every time you hear the word "pressure" off your TV , write down the time,

Submitted on November 27th, 2007 by arpidoodleIt may be that from the standpoint of 'high or prominent visiblity' in world affairs the U S stands the most to lose.
This prominence means a very great deal, and the U S is getting a taste of their own medicine, for what it's worth.
The reaction to threats of energy's 'peak oil' crisis are just being felt around the world - but just - and for the the first time (?) the U S is not in a position to do anything about it. What runs this country, big business, is not going give up 'the easy money.'
Right now Iraq is bearing the brunt of reactions to energy shortages , but in the end - we'll pay the most, because we will run out, and we will have done nothing about it.
On the other hand, if the U S truly did control Arab oil, there might be a smoother transition off oil dependence. More of that 'medicine' is not a cure but that's the Clinton/Bush strategy.
If Clinton wins, it'll be because the voter decided to 'buy more time', if Gravel wins, it'll be because they wanted to end the senselessness and act now.
