My pleasure. It's one of those hour-long interviews that is worth every second, since Mike is so thorough and honest in how he addresses the issues. All proper interviews with Gravel are that way!

Now if we can only get a candidate who dares to debate him one on one....

I've still got 31 minutes to go on the interview

More than 2 hours later... I've still got 31 minutes to go on the interview.

Multimedia is easier on "journalists"... all they do is turn on the camera.

It's very tough on citizens. Very few people would stick with this herky jerky video.

Maybe it's better in the States but it's really unwatchable here.

I have to attach to all of these videos and play them once without watching them, because watching them in realtime is such an infuriating, disjointed experience.

Then when I play them back the second time... hopefully they're watchable.

If it's like that in the States then only the choir is going to see any of these videos.

I've never been able to follow the soundtrack from the 30 October event. It's just a mess. It was actually better live. But I quickly got a terminal overdose of Obama/Clinton live. I don't believe anyone watches those people.

If Mike ever does do a similar "alternate" debate format he ought to turn down the sound on the other candidates completely... just have their lips moving in the background... and criticize the media. Criticize the setup, the questions asked, the choice of questions for each candidate, the relative time given each candidate. Get outside the envelope that everyone is wrapped in when they see those debates and criticize it. The medium is the adversary. The other candidates are interchangeable.

Just get the questions asked, turn down the sound, critique the medium, repeat the question asked at the end of the "answer", and announce whether the question was answered or not and give a succinct version of the answer, on the off chance that a bona fide question was asked and a bona fide answer given.
