Rep PETE STARK made some strong comments re the war and Pres. Bush which all Democrats should haves been saying all along. Republicans demanded an apology but he refused until jumped on by Pelosi and other Bushies Dimocrats. The actual message can be seen by Googling Pete Stark ...and it was reported on Democracy Now.org. It's really worth reading.

Meh,One outburst doesnt
Submitted on October 26th, 2007 by kyeotMeh,
One outburst doesnt reflect a life time of commitment in my eyes. I dont like the fact that he said he was sorry for what he said either, that was kinda weak. It needed to be said and was way overdue, its just that he was the only one at work that day who actually did his job.
A VP of Gravel should have a record of putting himself out on the line for the people imo.
Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) Outrageous Remarks on House Floor

He was right on target.
CNN took an online poll that found that 88% of those polled said that Rep. Stark should not apologize.
However, 'As public pressure built, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) weighed in Friday, saying that although the debate on children's healthcare was "heated on both sides," what Stark said was "inappropriate and distracted from the seriousness of the subject at hand -- providing healthcare for America's children." '
Regular citizens were once again overwhelmingly at odds with Nancy Pelosi.

Times have changed. We are going to empower the American people. Let’s work together. I am tough. I’m not afraid. None of this politics as usual. Mike GravelYes, jfl...Stark was right
Submitted on October 26th, 2007 by The Morning ShowYes, jfl...Stark was right on! Too bad he had to apologize to us...As I was watching him state his apology I was talking to the TV saying..."hey, everything you said was true, and you're the last person who needs to apologize to the American people."
Can you imagine a Gravel/Stark ticket?? I'd love it!
Stark is 75
Submitted on October 26th, 2007 by jflStark is 75, or older, TMS.
Mike needs a VP about 20 years younger than he is.
I like Rocky Anderson for SLC. Check him out.

Gravel's already picked his
Submitted on October 26th, 2007 by gravel08njGravel's already picked his VP and cabinet members. He just won't tell anyone.
"Y'know there's a saying, 'The White House is the worst place to make friends, cause they're all sucking up to you.' ... somone should have told Bill Clinton that before he became president..."
Check out Pete Stark in San Francisco Chronicle...
