I was thinking Revolution by the Beatles, but we switch it to Gravelution, and make a video with slightly new lyrics:

The idea of the song and my quote is about mis-information. The song is about tabloid media influencing public opinion by misrepresenting the facts. A bit before the time and by a British band but it is a great foreshadowing of Fox News and the like.

Let's Have an Open Competition for New Composers

There are a great many great new music composers / arrangers

out there. Why not sponsor a competition for a theme song.

First , we need to writ the design specifications.

May I suggest:

1. sense of urgency

2. moral judgment

3. use of common sense ( see dictionary )

4. close the generation gap

5. competence

6. good cheer

7. exercise with rhythm

I love the idea, I just shy away from the hero worship that "Gravelution" implies. It's not about Mike it is about all of us. Mike is just one small part of the whole. The leader and figurehead yes, but just one part of the whole.

I would replace change the constitution with 'mend the constitution for three reasons:

1. There is a bad connotation to "changing the constitution", even in the Lyrics of the original song.

2. Mend is a nice wholesome way of fixing something.

3. 'mend is short for Amendments, and we have several good ones to compare ours to: the Bill of Rights civil liberties, women's rights, minorities' rights, the end of prohibition, etc.

Other than that, great choice. I love it! "Gra...ve...lu..tio....n..." :)

Also, parodies are fair use, so go nuts!
