Bill Maher is anti-religious and we all know it and its OK for him, its a free country.
If you have time to watch/listen to yourself, of all the guests on the show when Bill makes his anti-Catholic jokes you overwelmingly laugh the loudest and clearest.
I was really shocked at your behaviour as a Political candidate who might want to appeal to the masses.
I had a Catholic up bringing from fifties onwards. The way I see
them today make them a very laughable lot. They were twisted by their
own acceptance of unrealistic beliefs and full of guilt about anything
to do with sex. Some of them were actually cruel.
If you were in a similar environment to mine growing up, you might
wish you could have a good laugh and then move on. I have cousins who
are still stuck with very primitive ideas (in the worst sense possible).
I am thankful to be able to have a good laugh them and not get in to a needless anger. That
is because, I know for sure that all this Catholicism has nothing to do
with Jesus' teachings. Forget ALL these canned religions and
Organizations and look Inwards.
Gravel is not running to win the Presidency by any deceitful ways. Mike
would want to be seen as himself, regardless of mass appeal or not.
His, is a campaign of a Leader. Go Gravel !!!
I worked with a doctor once that said Jesus preached of LOVE, not the speration of people. The church organizations have cause this speration amoung people who believe in the same god. I like the fact that Gravel is a Unitarian and speaks of LOVE, I am sure we all have heard the saying treat others as you would like to be treated. I think people should apply this more often and not judge others based on their religious faiths or lack there of.
I am even more encouraged to vote for you after your appearance on Bill Maher, I think you did a great job on the panel. For someone that has been out of politics for a while you still know exactly what is going on. I agree with you 100% on Iraq, we could leave and have a good outcome.. But the childish behaviour that Bush shows, we can't talk to bad people (according to Bush). The best days ahead would be Mike Gravel as president

I hate to pull out the Republican playbook from the 2000 election, but I have to say that you looked so comfortable, informed, and honest on Realtime, that Hillary and Obama would have looked like robots next to you! They'd have to have their handlers off-camera telling them their opinions!
I wrote Bill Maher to let him know how much I enjoyed that show, and that I'd like to see you on again.
BTW, I do tend to agree with Maher that only so much can be explained by incompetence. I think the current power structure has a vested interest in staying in Iraq's oil fields as long as possible. There is a lot of money hidden in that fog of war...
Watching you laugh ... really laugh, was the highlight of the show for me. You have a sense of humor and I would like to see that in the President. I'm a bit disappointed that no one seems to be defending the younger demographic. They're just as much wanting a change - why would they want to continue living what they've seen their parents dread?
Your comment is right on and thanks for finding and posting this. I followed through and ask Bill to include Senator Gravel on regularly as he does Huckabee. Personally, I think if Bill Maher would really get to know Mike and what he is trying to do he would find as I have that he is the only real 'Non-Politics As Usual" candidate and that he really represents the only possible "Real" change in this broken representative system.

People tell me all the time he doesn't have a chance and I say "One Match Can Bring A Lot of Light into Darkness".. People are starving for the TRUTH... It is Most Important that the American people realize they are not going to get it from simply watching regular network television. Americans desperately need to know of the incredible out of hand debt we have and Lack of Government Care in regards to the education of our young. It is as though we have gone into a dark age.
