Mike Gravel on 'This Week' with George Stephanopoulos

Considering George Stephanopolous stated outright that he considers Ron Paul and Mike Gravel underdogs, neither of which will be our next president even to the point of taking Paul up on a "wager" for all the money in his pocket, (but we have surprise on our side!)...I thought the interview went very well. George gave Mike a forum for his views, acknowledged his role in ending the Vietnam War (for which more and more consider him a national hero), and let Mike state his case.

 A friend of mine, who saw Mike for the first time today on this show, was most impressed, because he saw a candidate who was positive and forthright, which he considers very refreshing. He became a Gravel supporter because of Mike's appearance on George's show today, and he predicts this show will give a big boost to Mike's campaign.

 It's all subjective...what we "insiders" might consider a not-so-positive interview might be just enough to make another enthusiastic Gravel supporter. I agree with my friend; I believe we picked up a good number of new supporters today. 

Gravel rocks...

Mike Gravel is the real deal and a giant killer. He is able to call out the top three contenders and set a progressive agenda that will set America on a straight course back to the top of the free world. Keep the faith Mike Gravel is making waves and slaying the giants along the way!

Kind of ironic, in how ABC News has the story bumpered with Staples "Easy Button" advertisements.

As if the other candidates only want you to think about and vote for "The Easy Button".

Unfortunately the interview was at a time that I could not watch, but I an glad to hear that Mike kept his cool and made an impression an a wide range of politically disenchanted citizens. If he can convience the "voter dropouts" to get back into the game and vote for him, he's aure to be a winner.

For those who haven't voted in many years or have never voted, just remember NOT voting is the same thing as voting for the things you are against.

I have to say Mike really knows how to stay on topic, continues to force the others candidates past political affairs, and is very passoinate about helping America!! George, I think did a good thing by semi attacking Mike cause people who listen know Mike is speaking the truth. It is really starting to look bad for the Media when everyone sees how truely BIAS they are!! Its just like old George Snuffalupagus to be disrespectful. Mike is not going to be president??? Stefapopaface was one of the same pundits cheering for war. Anyway Mike was great as usual. One other mistake Stefapopoface made was stating that Mike submitted his name for the vice presidency in 1972. That is incorrect. The secretary of his state did that. George shame on you for being such a hack.

After watching your interview with Stephanopolis you are on your way to securing my vote.  I am a 32 year female in Memphis, TN and have been debating between Clinton, Edwards, and Obama.  None of them have been as direct and vocal about the immorality of the Iraq war.  Get it Mike!

Mr. Gravel was an amazing, quick witted and clever speaker towards George Stephanapolous on the news just now that I became so thoroughly engaged in what he had to say. Being that I am now 26 years old and have never voted a day in my life, I forsee the future of that mistake taking a different turn. If there is anyone that I feel is worth listening to with my busy schedule, it most definitely is Mike Gravel.

Ron Paul was able to cover more bases than Mike for some reason, but Mike is still grand. I wonder how much they edited from the real taping.

I can't stand these people anymore. Makes a nice introduction of how Mike has no chance of winning and tells him at the end that he will not win. When did G.S. become a psychic? I did not no he could see the future! I guess it's George Nostradamus now. He must have a great program, I'll have to watch it more often. Seriously though, he didn't say anything of the sort to Ron Paul. Mike must have the MSM running scared, because they do everything they can to hurt his campaign. Some are a little more subtle then others(see Faux news and the CNN debates), but they are all working against Mike. That's enough in itself to make me want to vote for him. Makes me wonder just how honest the polls they are nice enough to add him on are. Mike, the next time someone says you will not win(and every time) please call them on it. Let the people who don't see the B.S. the MSM is shoveling see what we all see.
