Unofficial Mike Gravel Irc Channel + Tutorial

We've been using irc since mikes philly debate, and haven't had much of a problem at all. Had about 3 idlers, and 3-4 other people popping in here and there. We'd love for you to join us.

Its a relatively simple process, but there are a few steps. The basic information you need to join the chat.

network: Irc.blitzed.org
port: 6667
channel: #mikegravel

If you have a firewall, not very computer savvy, or just don't want to mess with it, you can access the chat here.

  • Type: the nickname you want to use.
  • Type: #mikegravel as the channel
  • Click: Connect
  • Voila!
  • Collaborate until your hearts content. :)

If you want to take collaboration with other volunteers seriously, then you can download the recommended client here.

  • Install the program, pretty much just hit next until completion.
  • Run XChat.
  • Pops up the network list
    • Change your nicknames as you wish.
      • You do need at least two different names(nick1, nick2)
    • Click: Add
    • Type: Blitzed
    • Click: Edit
    • Click: Edit Again.
    • Type: irc.blitzed.org/6667
    • Check Only: Global user info & Auto Connect.
    • Type: #mikegravel in channels to join.
    • Click: Close
    • Click: Connect.
  • Voila!
  • Collaborate until your hearts content. :)

Its pretty simple right? Then come join us! Spread the word. A lot of ideas get tossed around in the chat, and when we decide to all work on one... we have many more heads to complete the job. Efficiency bonus! :)

I look forward to chatting with each and every one of you. If you still have problems, email me rian@bennessimo.com .

Someone could sticky this if they felt the need :D

Peace
