As reported on Democracy Now Troy Anthony Davis will be executed for a murder he almost certainly did not commit. Seven out of 9 witnesses recanted citing police as sthe reason for their original testamony. One of the witnesses is suspected as the person wh actually committed the murder Davis is accussed of. An anti-terrorist bill signed by Bill Clinton at the urging of Newt Gingrich prevents Govt from reviewing state court cases. A review is going on now which is Davis' last chance for commutation. Texas is set to kill again..

Kenneth Foster would be innocent inany other state but Texas. The Case of Kenneth Foster: Texas Prepares to Execute Man for Driving a Car Near Scene of Murder Three weeks from today, a 30-year-old African American man on death row in Texas is scheduled to be executed. Kenneth Foster was sentenced to death ten years ago for the murder of Michael LaHood, a white man. The trial judge, the prosecutor, and the jury that sentenced him to die admit he never killed anyone. Foster is scheduled to be executed under a controversial Texan law known as the law of parties. The law imposes the death penalty on anybody involved in a crime where a murder occurred. In Foster's case he was driving a car with three passengers, one of whom left the car, got into an altercation and shot LaHood dead. Foster seems to be a valuable intelligent human with an 11 year old daughter, a wife and an especially caring grandfather. these people have already suffered for 10 years. Needlessly. Well, he has a 90 day stay and hopefully a new trial. Not everybody has Scooter Libby's luck in the Bush Gonzales justice system so its's up to Ga. state thanks to Clinton and Gingrich "terrorism death -car".
